The Sesquicentennial Parade Committee has begun their plans to bring a spectacular parade to St. Clair. The date for the parade will be Sunday, July 20th starting at 1:00 p.m. The parade will begin on North Riverside Avenue near Brown Street and end on St. Clair Highway near Palmer Street. A vintage baseball game with re-enactors will follow at the Christian B. Haas Industrial Park on Range Road with free admission for all. An Armed Forces flyover is in the planning stages currently along with a host of other surprises.
Plans are in place to have several floats and large helium balloons in the parade. The committee has met with the Detroit Parade Company, sponsors of the annual Thanksgiving Day parade in Detroit, to lease balloons and floats. If you or your organization/business/ corporation is interested in sponsoring a float or balloon, please contact our parade committee chairmen at the addresses below.
Additional participants have been contacted and we are awaiting confirmation of their participation.
